Job Summary Estée Lauder Companies’ Experience Design (EXD) team, within the Online Division, is looking for a lead user experience researcher who can amplify and evangelize user research with an amazing team to support you, delivering actionable insights based on high quality data collected directly from our user with scientific rigor and empathy.
The UX Research Lead will work collaboratively to contribute new ideas to products and features that impact the experiences of our consumers across all of ELC’s brand e-commerce sites.
We employ a variety of qualitative and quantitative methods to accomplish our goals, including surveys, focus groups, field studies, usability tests, and 1:1 interview.
Responsibilities Work closely with cross-functional product and design teams to develop research programs and plans that will effectively meet both business and design objectives for our brand sites.
Deliver best-in-class research and innovation process and methodologies while simultaneously thinking across the larger bank organization.
Ensure research results are actionable and contribute directly to meeting project and business goals Support other researchers as needed to ensure quality and consistency of deliverables and best practices.
Coach and mentor junior team members Identify, evangelize, and pursue research opportunities that will proactively assist the work of your product and design teams.
Inspire confidence and collaborate closely with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, across functions, and including product leadership and senior business executives.
Communicate and share your work at all times, generating visual artifacts that make the research process and your findings digestible and easily understood beyond XD.
Familiarity with all of the latest research tools.
Knowledgeable about research vendors and soliciting their services.
Qualifications Qualifications Masters in related field preferred or equivalent relevant experience 8+ years of experience planning and executing user research studies Knowledge of best practices in user interface design and the ability to make research-based design recommendations Experience in performing ethnographic research as well as moderating lab-based and remote qualitative and quantitative design and usability research activities Fluency in the use of tools and techniques in qualitative and quantitative design research Fluency in Design Thinking and human-centered design, with strategic experience in persona development, journey and experience mapping Ability to champion user experience research and integrate within the design planning, estimation, and prioritization process Command of communication and collaboration skills to confidently lead cross-functional teams through research planning to execution and reporting, and represent the work to all levels within the organization.
Is exceptional at problem-solving, issue resolution, and time management Has an innate desire to make things better, and a willingness to try new things Inherent curiosity, optimism, an ability to make the complex simple and the hard easy Portfolio or examples of past projects Ability to train and mentor junior team members The anticipated base salary range for this position is $117,000 to $202,100.
Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget.
Salary range may vary based on geographic location.
In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
