As part of the continuing effort to improve the functionality of the Society's case management systems, the Application Development Group is currently looking for a Product Support Specialist to assist with LawManager users support, systems debugging/testing, and records creation/maintenance of frequently asked questions.
The Product Support Specialist will interact with business users from all practice areas within Legal Aid, in order to provide the best software solutions to the Society.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES Assist business users to become proficient and efficient in using firm-wide case management system – LawManager – and its eventual, cloud-based replacement Diagnose technical issues and provide troubleshooting tips Take appropriate steps to bring any open support cases to resolution in a timely manner Create custom queries to assist business users needing data search and reports Assist with the review process for numerous reports that are used by Legal Aid staff in Civil, Criminal and Juvenile Practices Identify and research data inconsistency issues, and work with business partners to resolve and improve data flow Maintain a clear understanding of business rules, policies and operations among different Legal Aid practices Assist with data analysis and reporting process to city and state agencies Maintain and update technical documentation and project plans Assist with special IT projects as assigned Ability to learn and fully grasp the business practice and rules that apply to Legal Aid computer systems Ability to learn and become fluent in all aspects of the case management system functionality Ability to obtain a basic understanding of the Law Manager database schema Ability to understand and follow established business and legal procedures within legal practices to expedite data review processes Excellent Excel skills, including authoring macros, pivot charts and PowerBI Good understanding of SQL Query language desired Familiarity with M365, Sharepoint online and Teams Familiarity with PowerShell and Power BI a strong plus 1-3 years of IT experience with core expertise in supporting computer apps, providing support to business users outside of IT to use computer apps and/or data analysis Excellent attention to detail and the ability to deliver work on time Ability to work independently and within a team Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience Strong communications skills at user support and team levels SALARY TRANSPARENCY The posting reflects the range of potential salaries for the role.
The specific salary offers will be dependent on candidate qualifications, including collectively bargained salary steps for unionized roles.
