Front Desk Hostel Receptionist

We are seeking a responsible and energetic FRONT DESK HOSTEL RECEPTIONIST to join our team.
Qualified candidates must maintain both a professional demeanor and character.
This is a full time position at a Hostel/Boutique Hotel in East Williamsburg.
Example of a weekly schedule: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday: 8am - 4pm Friday and Saturday Off.
(1 or 2 of the shifts might be 10:30am - 6:30pm) Job Responsibilities: - Checking guests in and out of the hostel - serving as a general information desk with knowledge of New York sites, recommendations, and directions while providing excellent customer service - Responding to e-mails and phone inquiries - Researching weekly activities and events for guests - Maintaining hotel rates and allocations with respect to the availability - Preparing for the next day's guest arrivals - Overseeing daily hostel operations and handling all types of situations - Basic building maintenance and room checks - coordinate issues with housekeeping and maintenance teams - Contributing to our constant growth by working on various projects that can improve our hostel's image Requirements: - Strong interpersonal skills, as this job requires frequent interaction and communication - Highly organized, attention to detail, courteous, friendly, professional and amiable - Must be hands on and ready to help in other areas if needed and able to fulfill other duties - Previous hospitality/hostel experience preferred - Multiple languages is a plus\* Please respond with your resume and cover letter.
