Customer Service Representative
The opportunity
Kings Bay Y/ JCC Brooklyn is a community space that connects, uplifts and inspires.
It is a Jewish Community Center with and without walls.
We welcome everyone from all religious, racial, and ethnic backgrounds as we provide a wide array of programs for children and families to explore Jewish culture, values, holidays, and Israel through music, storytelling, art, Hebrew, and food.
We offer early childhood programs, summer day camps, after-school and other fun and engaging programs for families
The Customer Service Representative facilitates the efficient operation of the assigned department by performing a variety of clerical and administrative tasks
Main Responsibilities
Work with massive volumes of data in Excel
Provides administrative support, such as filing, typing, copying, binding, scanning, etc.
Provides information by answering questions and requests
Create and maintain filing systems, both electronic and physical
Schedule and coordinate staff and other meetings
Prepare communications, such as emails, reports, and other correspondence
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent education required
Customer service experience – at least 1 year
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Experience working with data in Excel
Excellent interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently
Schedule
Monday to Friday & occasionally Sundays (schedule varies)
Salary
Salary: $16 - $18 per hour
