00 Job Description Under general supervision and managerial direction, with latitude for independent initiative or judgement, the candidate is expected to perform data modeling, SQL development and ETL automations/integrations using MS-SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS); create reporting solutions using MS-SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS); perform data analysis to drive key business objectives; support daily data warehouse load processes; develop applications and integrations using MS-SQL Server; perform database design for application development and product implementation initiatives under the guidance of Database Administrator and Architect; participate in requirements analysis and design; work closely with business analysts, subject matter experts and development teams on application projects; facilitate creation, migration and maintenance of database objects across development/QA/production environments; perform data model management and version control; follow best practices in data modeling including use of standard naming conventions, processes and templates to ensure consistency of data models; monitor and optimize database performance and capacity utilization to provide high availability and redundancy; take ownership of database performance, scalability and security; reverse engineer and document database architecture for business-critical legacy databases; define and implement data testing strategies with business stakeholders, application development teams and QA groups; participate in the software testing process, including identification and resolution of defects; contribute to and support roll-out strategies; participate in and contribute to formal/informal technical reviews and presentations; understand other database platforms like Oracle, MySQL and IBM DB2; understand high level application architecture/design, network design, performance constraints and security frameworks; apply technical knowledge to determine solutions and solve complex problems; research, present and/or make recommendations on technical issues; take inputs from reporting manager(s) and appropriately apply comments/feedback; estimates time required to complete development tasks; demonstrate the ability to cooperate with a variety of people and achieve results; proactively initiate, develop, and maintain effective working relationships with team members.
Minimum Qualifications 1.
A baccalaureate degree in computer science, engineering or a related field from an accredited college and four years of satisfactory full-time experience related to IT automation engineering, monitoring engineering, management of infrastructure; or 2.
Eight years of satisfactory full-time experience related to IT automation engineering, monitoring engineering, management of infrastructure; 3.
Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" or "2" above.
Preferred Skills 4 years of experience in application data modeling and MS-SQL Server administration/utilities/ tools Microsoft Database Developer certification proficiency in supporting MS-SQL Server 2017/2019 databases in high availability environments with intimate knowledge of SQL/T-SQL demonstrated knowledge of designing/ developing/ integrating databases, data warehouses and multidimensional databases in MS-SQL Server ability to write and optimize complex SQL queries, procedures and functions familiarity with SSRS, SSAS, SSIS and data warehousing concepts experience with database replication techniques.
